About Us
We are a small village primary school with 40 children on roll. Children are taught in two classes- infant and junior. The school offers a warm and caring family atmosphere in which children thrive. Facilities are excellent and the children enjoy a wide variety of different learning opportunities. Children in the junior class have a laptop each while both classes have interactive whiteboards. There are six computers in the infant classroom. The school benefits from owning a minibus, allowing trips out to support the curriculum. This also enables classes to use the hall at Hartwell school for gymnastics. There is an extremely active parent's association that raise an impressive sum of money for 'extras'. An extension was built two years ago to provide a quiet area for individual and small group work and to extend the Junior classroom at the rear of the building. The entrance area has also been improved. Earlier this year the Junior cloakroom and toilets were completely remodelled and replaced and new flooring laid in the Infant classroom.
The school is located next to St Michael and All Angels Church and has very close links with the parish. Children regularly hold services in church and take part in village services to celebrate Christmas, Harvest and Mothering Sunday.
